This month we're featuring this adorable Kimberbell Heart & Home Door Decor. With in the hoop appliqué, shiny mylar windows and hearts and a heartwarming sentiment, you'll create a house representing the love found in your home. And just like a family, each piece is built with different but complementary pieces. Above the house are dimensional hearts strung from adorable twine, representing the love found within these walls. The pieces go together quickly with a sewing machine adding a coordinating border and ending with binding. So pick out your own whimsical or homey fabrics to create this sweet door decor. Or maybe turn it into a pillow to adorn a chair or couch in your family room. Come join the Kimberbell fun!Click here to download your class instructions, materials needed and fabric requirements. *Please be aware there is a mistake for 1 of the fabric sizes on this instruction sheet. Kimberbell is aware of it and will make corrections in the future but for now if you are making the backing and binding out of the same fabric you will need ⅔ of a yard, NOT ½ yard. If you will be using 2 different fabrics then ½ yard is needed for the backing and 1/6 yard will be needed for binding (2 strips WOF either 2 ¼" wide or 2 ½" wide.) **If you would like your instructions printed, please do this before coming to class. Instructions will only be shown on the class TV.We will not be providing printed instructions.
***Please have all pieces cut to size as indicated on your instruction sheet.
Hoop Size(s) - This project uses a 5 x 7 (240 x 150) for the house block and a 4 x 4 (120 x 120) for the hearts. However a 5 x 7 (240 x 150) can be used for both.
Additional supplies and embroidery threads that will help with this project are:
Small snip scissors
Threads to match or coordinate with fabric for:
accent siding (along the bottom of the house)
roof (this takes quite a bit of thread)
Mylar and Tulle for this project will be supplied to all who attend class.
