This is an entirely different technique for one of my bag classes. We're going to quit as we go! We'll use June Tailor's batting that has a quilt by number printed right on it. Just like paint by number when we were kids. This pattern doesn't come with pockets so I've figured out a way you can add them if you'd like to. Check mine out at the shop. It's big enough to put just about anything in but pretty enough to take anywhere. Come join the fun!

In this two part class, you will guided through the process of creating 3 different types of binding - traditional binding, two sided binding and flange accented binding and applying these bindings. Tips to making great corners will also be explored.

This traditional quilt pattern can be daunting in so many ways. However, the Stable piecing method removes the piecing complications that come with sewing diamonds. Pineapple Party - Intended for beginners wanting to up their quilting game. This very sweet quilt is made up of 7 different blocks. Each block will concentrate on honing particular techniques that can be transferred to most other quilts. The first class will concentrate on reading the pattern, cutting the patches and constructing the traditional 9-patch. The three following classes will focus on the remaining blocks and completing the top. Since these classes will be once a month, the assigned homework can be easily completed between each class.

Throw away your plastic templates for tracing and creating half rectangles. Learn how to make crisp, clean half rectangles or what Deb Tucker calls a Split Rects, by using the Split Rects Tool. You don't have to worry about shaving your plastic templates any more. There are 8 different size options with just one tool. Your stars will twinkle with these strong points.

As a result of planning your original design, we are now ready to begin constructing in this second Design School class. We will review the construction process for making units using the Tucker Trimmer, V-Block and Wing Clipper. Depending upon your layout and design choices, you may be able to complete your focal block during this course.

Design your own quilt top. As the designer, you can create the size quilt you desire. You will determine your own layout for your own design. This may sound exciting and over whelming all at the same time. This first course will require no cutting or sewing. You will be planning your quilt with the help of some simple guidelines. Students will be able to choose a project from a Throw size to a King size quilt.
